Job Description

Asco Motors is a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings and is the only authorized dealer and distributor of Toyota and Yamaha in Fiji. The General Manager- Financial Services will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial planning and management related activities of Asco Motors (Fiji) in addition to outcomes delivered by other functions within the Finance SBU. This includes leadership of the NVS/ Service/ Parts/ Panel/ UV/ TB/ AVIS), contract analysis and negotiations, compliance as well as private and institutional financing. S/he reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

    • Preparation of Asco Motors annual and five-year plans and operating plans effectively contributed to

    • Appropriate organisational structure for the Finance Business Units established and continuously reviewed and revised for relevance

        • the annual provision for bad debts and bad debts write exercise for the division and group is carried out as per the 
          guidelines prescribed by management
        • debt management reports submitted in a timely manner
      • Procurement planning
        • assistance provided to the procurement team for tender submission, leasing where required
      • Due Diligence to be undertaken by Asco Motors Business Units
      • Cash forecasting/collection reported in a timely manner
      • Appropriate resolution of Audit queries/issues (as and when required)
      • Complaints dealt with in a timely manner seeing to resolution
  • Effective technical leadership delivered ensuring the successful delivery of the following:
    • Development and continuous evaluation/revisions to Asco Motors's short and long-term strategic financial objectives
    • Development of financial forecasting, budgets, business cases and reporting to Executive Management, Board of Directors and relevant Government ministries
    • Timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts provided to Executive Management and the Board
    • Development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive job costing system
    • Evaluation and advice on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action
  • Strong relationships established and maintained with Executive Management so as to identify their SBU's financial needs and seek as well as provide a full range of relevant business solutions
  • Timely, relevant and quality advice on the financial implications of business activities provided to Executive Management
  • Recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities provided to Executive Management
