General Manager


Job Description

In August 2012, Southern Cross Foods acquired Fiji Dairy Ltd - Fiji’s National Dairy Company. Based in Suva, the dairy plant manufactures a range of dairy products including pasteurised milk, UHT Milk, powdered milk, butter, yoghurts, cheese, fresh and sour cream, and various other flavoured dairy products. In addition to the running of the dairy plant, Fiji Dairy Limited is actively involved in establishing and promoting ‘best-practice’ dairy farms to help local farmers get better yield and better quality milk

The General Manager Fiji Dairy is accountable for the leadership, management and control of all activities within Fiji Dairy Pte Limited in accordance to the strategic direction of the CJ Patel Group and FDPL's commercial viability, product quality, people safety and environmental sustainability. This position reports to the Group General Manager Manufacturing, CJ Patel Pte Limited.

  • Timeliness, quality and accuracy of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports ensured
    • Weekly reports to Group General Manager Manufacturing

Qualifications

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Minimum of ten to fifteen years' experience in a Food Manufacturing Industry
  2. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and human capital management
  3. Computer literate and good documentation skills
  4. Analytical thinking ability and good communication skills
  5. Knowledge in Food Safety Management System, Good Manufacturing Practices, labour handling, root cause analysis
