Job Description

Alfa Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group that manufactures hygiene and consumer products for Fiji and international markets such as Pacific Laundry Bar, Malumu tissues and Stelow and also holds the manufacturing license for world renowned international brand Janola.

The Quality Controller is responsible for assessing and testing samples of raw materials, products in process and final products through physical inspection and laboratory equipment. This position reports to Senior Quality Controller, Alfa Pte Limited.

1. Quality compliance as per required standard and regulation ensured
Processing line checked and verified for compliance timely and accurately inspections performed across all stages of of production as per quality and company specifications and standards inspection reports prepared and maintained manufacturing process compliance with process parameter specifications ensured at all times Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for all manufacturing activities ensured at all times Quality samples and test data prepared and maintained accurately for review Tests verified in a timely manner Samples evaluated from new line runs; compliance with company product specifications reported to process workers or other appropriate staff Random samples of outgoing finished products gathered and evaluated using lab equipment to ensure they meet company and customer standards. Findings reported to supervisor and  appropriate next steps and action taken for acceptable and/or unacceptable samples. Calibration of quality control equipment and machines maintained  Finished goods specifications and product release criteria maintained at all times Material specifications maintained at all times Raw materials and packaging material for production checked and released Documentation for receiving materials such as Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Certificate of Analysis (COA) obtained
2. Alfa Pte Ltd's Quality Management System maintained at all times
Documentation accurately completed and maintained at all times Deviations communicated in a timely manner to ensure informed decision making and timely rectification HACCP systems and other system certification compliance ensured in all day to day QC activities Internal and External customer queries/requests addressed in timely manner in liaison with Supervisor Assistance to close audit and process gaps provided Continuous and process improvement initiatives supported Root cause analysis of all non-conformance and preventive action ensured to avoid recurrence Participation in 'Quality Circle' initiative ensured Data and records for quality trend analysis completed

Work Knowledge and Experience

1. Minimum one year working experience in a industrial lab in a similar capacity
2. Computer literate and good documentation skills
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
4. Organized with great attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret information
5. Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment.
