Job Description

Viti Foods Ltd manufactures canned fish for local and export markets. Canning a range of Tuna and Mackerel products under its own brands as well as contract manufacturing for a variety of retailers and international traders ensures Viti Foods continues to produce at optimum volumes ensuring maximum factory efficiency.

The Senior Plant Technician is responsible for ensuring that all factory processing equipment is maintained. This position reports to the Plant Manager, Viti Foods Pte Limited.

  • Plans for upgrading systems and recommending replacement of equipment for the processing line ensured
  • Periodic information/data requests addressed in a timely manner and accuracy of information maintained at all times
  • Maintenance log sheets are filled accurately for informed decision making 
  • Operators check lists are reviewed and any machine related issues are discussed daily

    • Work plans (daily, weekly, monthly and annually) are produced on a timely basis

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. At least three years' experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment.
  2. Knowledge in developing and maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program
  3. Computer literate with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  4. Able to deliver effective results and targets under pressure and tight deadlines.
  5. Strong teamwork, interpersonal and orgnizational skills.
  6. Knowledge in double seaming technology and evaluation would be an added advantage
