Job Description

The Fiji Ports Corporation PTE Limited (FPCL) is a major player in the maritime transporting industries and the operator of commercial port facilities in Fiji.

Responsible for efficient coordination of the assigned technical and engineering projects ensuring timely and effective completion and implementation.

1. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:            
Responsible for timely organization and completion of all projects (including on-time and within budget, with the requisite quality) from design to construction. Assist Assistant Port Engineer with writing project TORs when required.
Coordinate with contractors, HODs and people responsible for project components.      
Coordinate with Finance for the budget management of project.        
Liaise with relative internal and external stakeholders for project management.       
Write and compile Terms of Reference for Project Expression of Interest.       
Design project plans, project budgets and quality contract.         
Coordinate outcomes and provide reports to the Port Engineer.       
Coordinate site visits and monitor them.          
Responsible for project personnel compliance         
Assist in the development of risk management plans for projects.        
Coordinate the compilation of tender documents.          
Oversee and supervise the ongoing maintenance and repair projects of port facilities and other FPCL assets.    
Liaise with property owners/tenants and representatives for projects affecting their areas.     
Supervise the team involved with the projects and maintenance ensuring work efficiency, quality and effectiveness.   
Assist in the development of the department's standard operating procedures and business process flows as per company requirements in collaboration with the Port Engineer.  
Assist in the development of the department's policies in collaboration with the Port Engineer.     
Update and maintain departmental reports and documents on the projects at the end of every month on the company intranet.  
Maintain FPCL image and value standards.          
Maintain a professional and respectful attitude and behavior towards all staffs, management and executives.    
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management roles.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering field.
  3. Well versed with AutoCAD - drafting and drawing.
  4. Must have supervisory experience.
  5. Must have demonstrable knowledge of MS Project.
