Production Manager v (1.01) [Ba - Fiji]

Job Description

SC Foods is a world-class food manufacturer based in Ba, Fiji . Producing a variety of noodle, extruded snacks, and confectionery, SC Foods adheres to strict compliance with the international ISO accreditation standards and ensures the best in quality control and delivery.

The Production Manager is responsible for managing the Production activities at Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited. This position reports to the Factory Manager, Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited.


Organisational Stakeholders
1. Factory production managed
  • Annual production budget and targets developed and implemented on a timely basis 
  • Production schedules planned and implemented on an accurate and timely basis 
    • Production delivery timelines and product quality achieved
    • Customers orders managed
    • Production re-scheduling managed
  • Special production projects are planned and implemented on an accurate and timely basis
  • Risk detection and management processes ensured
  • Stock inventory managed at all times 
  • Production processes optimized at all times
2. Statutory and operationally compliant
  • Compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements ensured
  • Compliance with regional/international quality standards and product specification requirements ensured
  • Compliance with HACCP ensured
  • Compliance with standard operating procedures ensured
    • First Time Release (FTR), On Time Release (OTR) and First Time Quality (FTQ) ensured
  • Compliance with relevant risk management tools of the company ensured
  • Audit recommendations implemented accurately and on a timely basis 
3. Well informed management
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reports provided on an accurate and timely basis 
  • Periodic information/data requests by management addressed in a timely manner and accuracy of information maintained at all times
4. Effective Human Capital Management ensures a productive, stable and increasingly capable workforce
  • Supervision of and professional guidance to all staff ensured
  • Training needs and competency gaps of staff assessed and managed in partnership with management and HR Department

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Minimum five years' in a similar position at a food manufacturing company
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and budget/variance analysis is preferred
  3. Knowledge in Food safety management system, Good manufacturing practices, labor handling ,route cause analysis
  4. Analytical thinking ability and proper communication skills
  5. Computer literate and good documentation skills
