Project Manager


Job Description

Iceman (Fiji) PTE Limited is a joint venture company between CJ Patel & Company Pte Ltd and Iceman Technologies (Pvt) Ltd Sri Lanka. Iceman represents world renowned brands like Copeland, Geneglace (France), Bitzer (Germany) and Heatcraft (Australia) and primarily deals with installation, assembling, selling and carrying out maintenance on prefabricated cold rooms, ice plants, refrigerated trucks and air conditioners.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the execution phase of a project, from initial sales handover through to final completion. The role will also lead delivery of our products and services on time and within scope and budget to a number of commercial clients in a variety of different industries. The position reports to General Manager, Iceman Fiji Pte Limited.

1. Project Management
  • Project Planning and Scheduling
    • Ownership of the overall profitable execution of projects ensured.
    • Comprehensive project plans developed, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
      • Assistance with definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
    • Coordination with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Risk assessments conducted and mitigation strategies developed to ensure project success.
    • Project tenders prepared and submitted in liaison with General Manager
  • Budget Management:
    • Estimate project costs and budgets developed in collaboration with the finance and technical team.
    • Project expenditures monitored and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Cost-saving opportunities identified and implemented to optimize project costs.
    • Changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques managed.
  • Procurement and Resource Management:
    • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
    • Relationships with suppliers and subcontractors managed to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
    • Effective allocation of resources ensure to meet project objectives while maximizing efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards relevant to refrigeration projects ensured.
    • Quality assurance processes implemented to monitor and maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
    • Inspections and quality audits conducted to verify compliance with project specifications.
    • Attendance in project meetings ensured whilst analyzing project progress and auditing standard and quality compliance.
    • Compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies ensured
2. Well Informed Stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Regular updates provided on project progress, milestones, and potential risks.
    • Resolve conflicts and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Comprehensive project documentation created and maintained.
    • Exceptional customer service provided ensuring consistent and clear communication
    • Relationships with key stakeholders developed and to drive best practice and to share innovation.
  • Project Documentation and Reporting
    • Accurate and up-to-date project documentation maintained, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
    • Comprehensive progress reports generated and presented to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Post-project reviews conducted to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Proven experience in a project management role , specifically within the refrigeration/HVAC or building services industry.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, equipment, and installation practices.
  3. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  4. Proficiency in project management and design tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
