Marketing Coordinator


Job Description

PacTrade (PNG) Limited is an established FMCG distributor of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and part of CJ Patel Group of Companies in Fiji. PacTrade is represented in PNG with its Head Office in Port Moresby and a branch in Lae, Morobe Province.

Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing trade and marketing activities for Pactrade PNG Limited including working on the consumer journey for our Brands. This position reports to National Sales Manager, Pactrade PNG Limited.

Organisational Stakeholders
1. Marketing Activations Managed
  • Planning, coordination and execution of marketing activations managed, including product launches, demos, promotions and marketing campaigns.
    • Developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns in line with Brand and Group Marketing Strategies
      • Implementation of successful marketing campaigns across all territories in PNG
        • regular trade visits ensured to monitor implementation and performance
      • Collaboration with the graphics and head office team to produce promotional materials
      • Organize promotional activities
      • Planning and organizing promotional activities, demos and presentations for new products/services with sales team
      • Maintaining promotional materials inventory by coordinating requirements with group marketing department, suppliers and placing orders
      • Budgets and timelines for activations managed, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely execution.
    • Planning meetings and trade shows by by identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules.
    • Ensuring all marketing activities are in compliance with statutory, regulatory, brand and supplier policies/guidelines
    • Inventory of sales support materials maintained, ensuring all are current and accurate
      • Coordinate creation of new materials when necessary
  • Marketing Budget monitored by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
2. Market Intelligence and Well Informed Management
  •  Performance of marketing activations monitored and tracked consistently
    • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for program success
    • Regular reports and analysis on market share data and sales data provided to evaluate effectiveness
    • Tracking of product line sales and analyzing sales forecasts 
    • Market gap identification completed on accurate and timely basis
    • Setting up tracking systems for online marketing activities
  • Timeliness, quality and accuracy of daily, weekly and monthly reports to management ensured
    • Daily operational data to the management is timely and accuracy of information maintained at all times
    • Key performance indicators on weekly basis are informed 
    • Monthly report presentation is accurate and supports decision making
    • Ad-hoc information requests by management and shareholders, for decision-making purposes, addressed in a timely manner
    • Preparation of marketing and brand performance reports 
  • Regular research on competitive products ensured
    • Compile market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends
    • Identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising
    • Maintaining research databases.
    • Providing competitive performance reports
  • Build knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices and local marketing tactics with team members
3. Teamwork and cooperation
  • Cooperation within the team and greater function / department
    • Support, train and monitor performance of marketing team staff
    • Support national sales manager with department KPI tracking and in establishing and evaluating marketing strategy 
  • Cooperation across functions / departments
    • Assist cross-functional teams in coordinating messaging, branding, and marketing collateral.
    • Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new product information.
    • Brand & product feedback provided on an accurate and timely basis
    • Competitor intelligence data collected and analyzed and shared with trade team
    • Communication of campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to sales team, and provide instructions for usage and promotion

  • Lead exchange of insights/recommendations with Brand and Sales Managers and translate into local competitive advantage as part of business strategy.

    • Manage content creation on blogs, social media, and other media
    • Maintain and manage influencer relationships
    • Design and implements digital marketing strategy with the goal of driving traffic and/or brand recognition 
    • Create successful social media campaigns to grow a brand’s audience

Qualifications

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
  2. Experience with research methods using data analytics software and solid computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics etc.
