Job Description

The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB), formerly known as Native Land Trust Board (NLTB) derives its existence from the Native Land Trust Act of 1940. Its core mandate is to manage iTaukei Lands with its Vision “To Excel in Land Services and the Economic Empowerment of our Landowners” TLTB Core Business is Sustainable Land Development to enrich the lives and livelihoods of our landowners. The Graphic Designer is responsible for visualizing and creating graphic include illustrations, logos, layouts, photo and videos in order to shape the visual aspects of websites, designing and producing various marketing and PR materials for TLTB such as brochures, flyers, labels, invitations, certificates, e-bulletin, newsletters, banners, annual reports and so forth. The incumbent ensures the graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. Responsibility includes having a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design and visual presentations

1. Creating images and layout
  • Design and production of various marketing and PR materials for TLTB such as: brochures, flyers, labels, invitations, cards, posters, e-bulletins, newsletters, annual reports and so forth ensured. 
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements. 
  • Rough drafts or sketches prepared and ideas presented. 
  • Illustrations and video presentations developed, and other designs using appropriate software.
  • The appropriate colors used and layouts for each graphic,
  • Graphics across various media tested  and designs after feedback amended,
  • Final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
2. Multiple Tools Implementation
  • Use of  multiple tools on the medium and goals of the project ensured. 
  • Imaginative content that effectively resonates the audiences designed. 
  • Use different marketing tools to create beautiful work according to TLTB brand and image.
  • Basic knowledge in editing software’s in Adobe Photoshop CS6, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Flash, etc. and working on intranet and websites.
  • Design created and or source graphics, photographs and other images ensured. 
  • Desktop publishing (brochures, annual reports, manual, banners, policy booklets and newsletters)
  • Photography used to create short appealing videos that demonstrates corporate vision and missions.

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. 5 years or more relevant work experience and must have a strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  2. Has a clear understanding of the organization's business objectives and be able to devise terminal beautification plan in line with it,
  3. Must be creative, self-motivated, punctual and willing to work on deadline – driven hours
  4. Compelling photography and videography style,
  5. Use of social media dashboards/management tools,
  6. Working knowledge in videography and ability to visually enhance existing video to establish a consistent brand image
  7. Advanced Presentation skills
  8. Experience using content management systems like WordPress
  9. Reporting and Analytical Skills
  10. Strong attention to details and organization skills
