Job Description
Fiji Pine Group (FPG) is a state-owned forestry and wood-processing organisation in Fiji, responsible for the sustainable management of the country’s pine plantation resources. The Group is involved in plantation establishment, harvesting, timber processing, and the supply of wood products for local and export markets. Through its various subsidiary companies, Fiji Pine Group (FPG) plays a key role in supporting rural employment, landowner participation, and the long-term development of Fiji’s forestry sector while promoting sustainable and responsible forest management.
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy machinery used in logging and forestry operations. This includes extracting and moving pine logs while maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Work Knowledge and Experience
- • Valid Group 9 driver’s license for operating similar machines. • Relevant experience in working for forestry sector in particular in logging operations. • 2 – 3 years of work experience in similar role. • Sound mechanical knowledge. • Medically & physically fit. • Flexible attitude towards working hours. • To carry our any other duties within the scope of the position or related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or the department Manager from time to time.
