Job Description

International School Nadi (ISN) is a non-profit, co-educational day school situated in Nadi, Fiji. ISN offers the full International Baccalaureate (IB) programme continuum; Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), for Students aged 3 to 18. With a small-to-medium-sized student community, ISN is the only IB World School in Fiji’s Western Division authorized to deliver the full IB continuum and is Committed to fostering international-mindedness, inclusivity, and lifelong learning in a Vibrant, diverse environment.

The Principal (Head of School) is responsible for leading International School Nadi (ISN) as a high-performing International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. The role provides strategic, educational and operational leadership to foster excellence in teaching and learning, student wellbeing and international-mindedness, in alignment with the IB philosophy and reflective of ISN’s diverse and inclusive community. The Principal leads the implementation of ISN’s Strategic Plan and is accountable for the School’s educational quality, organisational sustainability, effective governance support, and the responsible stewardship of its people, resources and reputation. The role reports to the International School Nadi Board.

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Minimum five (5) years' experience in a senior leadership role within an IB World School.
  2. Extensive knowledge of International Baccalaureate Standards and Practices, programme evaluation and accreditation requirements.
  3. Demonstrated success leading the overall operations of a school, including educational leadership, strategic planning, organisational performance and continuous improvement.
  4. Demonstrated accountability for financial management, including the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets, resource allocation and long-term financial sustainability.
  5. Demonstrated experience leading human resource functions, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, professional development and employee relations.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a governing Board, including governance reporting, policy implementation, strategic advice and organisational accountability.
  7. Excellent communication, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse cultural environments and represent the School professionally.
