Job Description

As a deckhand, you will perform various tasks on the ship, such as mooring, boat attendance, inspection, cleaning, routine maintenance, and emergency response, while maintaining a high standard of personal and professional conduct, demonstrating discipline, proactivity, responsibility, and respect for Production Managerthe company's purpose and mission. The role reports to the Boat Captain.

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. Possess an adequate range of practical skills appropriated to repairs and maintenance
  2. Ability to carry out standard checks, equipment maintenance and other simple routine checks
  3. Proficient swimmer and physically fit
  4. Recent marine experience
  5. Physically fit (able to handle ropes climb into compartments, etc.)
  6. Must pass pre-employment drug screen
  7. Must have sufficiently acute hearing, eyesight and depth perception to meet the demands of at-sea service.
  8. Outgoing and friendly demeanor, able to engage and communicate easily with passengers and crew
  9. Desirable: Good written skills in Chuukese and English
