Job Description

Fiji Broadcasting Corporation today operates a network of six radio stations: two in each of the three major languages (iTaukei, Hindustani and English). The stations are Radio Fiji One and Bula FM (iTaukei), Radio Fiji Two and Mirchi FM (Hindustani), and Gold FM and 2Day FM (English). In addition to its radio services, FBC operates three television channels; FBC TV, FBC 2 and FBC Sports providing a diverse range of news, entertainment, sports and educational content across Fiji. FBC also operates its digital media platform, Viti+, which delivers live streaming to audiences both locally and internationally, expanding FBC’s reach beyond traditional broadcasting.

The Manager IT will be responsible and accountable for maintaining and administering of FBC's ICT systems on-site and remotely. Primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software and hardware from attacks, replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.

Work Knowledge and Experience

  1. 5 years proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
  2. Project Management experience would be an advantage.
  3. Knowledge of Technical Management, Information Analysis and of Computer Hardware/Software Systems.
  4. Hands on experience with computer networks, network administration and installation.
